There’s no single answer, as completion time depends on several factors, including your painting style, level of experience, how detailed the design is, and the size of the canvas. Some people paint more meticulously, while others work more quickly - both approaches are equally valid.
Our difficulty levels offer a helpful guide. Beginner designs generally have fewer sections and are quicker to complete, while Advanced designs contain more detail and therefore take longer.
Personalised kits also tend to be more time-consuming, as they’re created from real images and are often more complex than our in-house designs, which are specifically chosen for paint-by-numbers suitability.
As a general estimate, many of our kits take around 25 to 60 hours to complete, making them ideal for enjoying over multiple sessions as a relaxing, mindful activity.
Kits from other brands, such as Schipper, vary more widely in completion time. Smaller formats (for example, 24× 30cm) can be completed much more quickly, while larger multi-panel designs such as triptychs or polyptychs can take over 100 hours to finish.
