Due to the perishable nature of acrylic paint, we recommend starting your paint by numbers kit within six months of receiving it to ensure the paints remain fresh and easy to use. Acrylic paint dries quickly, so to help your paints last as long as possible:
- Keep paint pots properly closed and sealed when not in use
- Avoid leaving pots open while painting
- Paint one colour at a time
- Keep paints out of direct sunlight, as heat can cause them to dry faster
- Add a small drop of water to open pots if the paint begins to thicken
If your kit has been left unused for a long period of time (for example, several years) and the paints are no longer usable, please contact us to order a full replacement set of paints.
