For best results, we recommend choosing a canvas with proportions similar to your original photo. As a guide, 40×50cm works well for vertical images, while 40×60cm is ideal for landscape images. Both sizes produce great results, the choice often comes down to personal preference or the space you have available to display the finished painting.
If your image has a different aspect ratio to the canvas size you’ve selected, it will be resized and cropped to fit. We therefore recommend pre-cropping your photo before uploading to ensure no important details are lost. The level of detail remains the same regardless of size, only the scale of the painting changes.
