For best results, we recommend:
- High resolution & sharp focus – images should be clear and not blurry or pixelated when zoomed in
- Good, even lighting – avoid photos that are too dark, too bright, or have strong shadows
- Close, well-framed subjects – especially for portraits; details should be clearly visible
- Simple composition – clean or uncluttered backgrounds work best
- Natural, unedited photos – avoid filters, text, or screenshots
Helpful tips:
- Upload the photo cropped exactly how you’d like it painted
- Avoid combining multiple images into one photo
- Do not upload photos of printed photos or screens
